An interesting story that happened recently:

Once again without right guidance, we found that young alone olim cn get lost through bureaucracy and a lack of knowledge of the army's officials, so was in the case of Young Ola alone soldier who served as a combat soldier and was released about a month ago.

The young ola participated in our releasing from the army workshops and when she came to us to her first consultation, she shared with her consular that she was a young kid when her family left Israel and that she moved back to Israel just before enlisting. When she spoke with the term of service (Tas”h) Officer, the officer informed her she is not eligible to do Aliyah/ resolve her returning minor status, and she accepted what the officer told her as the final answer to her situation

After approaching our consultant, we contact Documentation and Eligibility Counselor at the Ministry of Aliyah and Integration office and checked with the about her status and we’ve explained to her that she most definitely meets the criteria. Financially-wise, resolving her returning minor status as opposed to her current status stands at approximately 48,000 NIS, an additional to 30,000 NIS scholarship, if she gets an academic degree  which she’s entitle to get from the Students Authority.
